Choosing a carpet cleaning company to do business
with is much like selecting a plumber, electrician,
etc. You want a professional, someone whom you can
trust in your home and for years to come. But where
do you turn? Whether you and your family are new in
town, or have lived there for many years, some of
the best inside information can be found by simply
to turning to friends, relatives, or trade
organizations.Idea 1: Coworkers
If you are looking to select a carpet cleaning company, your first step should be to reach out to co-workers who happen to live in your area. One of our best customers found us by sending out an email to all of her co-workers that she knew lived within 30 miles of her, asking if anybody knew of a great carpet cleaning company that they have done business with and whom they place their trust. You wouldn’t believe the responses she got! Not only will you get positive replies, but you will also hear of tales of woe about other companies, instructing you as to the people you should avoid!
Idea 2: Friends
People are far more inclined to tell you the truth when nothing is at stake. And recommending a carpet cleaning company is not a risky endeavor. Next time you’re having lunch with friends, casually bring up the topic. This is a great chance to find out about other good service-oriented companies. You will soon find that people will start chatting about home cleaning services, landscaping companies, painters, and the afore-mentioned electricians and plumbers. This is a great way to kill two birds with one stone!
Idea 3: Industry Trade Organizations
This is the least used idea for gaining information on carpet cleaning companies. It should be used in tandem with speaking to friends and co-workers, because you will get a chance to learn about the different methods of carpet cleaning and which one is best for your carpet. Many sites will list reputable companies in your area, searchable by zip code. In this way, you will also be more informed when you call to make an appointment with the local carpet cleaning company of your choice.
Simply opening the yellow pages to search for a carpet cleaning company is a notion of the past. Today, the American consumer is savvy and will employ the internet and other mediums to research companies. But please remember that old fashioned word of mouth complements any good purchasing decision. Best of luck!
